The Story
Château Dauzac is a 5th growth Grand Cru Classé Margaux with an Irish history. Planted on one-block of 45 hectares and originally a farm, owner Pierre Drouillard formed a partnership with the Lynch family and turned the former farm into a vineyard founding Château Dauzac. The property passed to Jean-Baptiste Lynch in 1783 and today it is owned by Bordeaux businessman Jean-Jacques Bernat who is converting the vineyards to organic farming. The 2016 vintage is dense, rich, and precise with bright black fruit notes. The high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend gives it structure and firmness as well as refreshing acidity and a silky finish.
