The Story
Anne-Marie Barrère is at the helm of her historic property in Jurancon, with vineyards originally planted by her family in the 1940s. The climate is maritime climate but turns dry and hot in the autumn because of southern winds. This weather partially dries and concentrates the grapes whilst still on the vine, then the plots are individually harvested based on their ripeness. The wine then spends time in oak and on fine lees, all enhancing the wines flavour and layered complexity.
